Praying For Fear

Dear Heavenly Father

Lord I thank you that there is no fear in me, that you are with me wherever I go. Lord, you have called me fearless. You give me strength and comfort. You are by my side and will never leave me. I thank you that there is no trace of fear in me that there is only peace. I will no longer live in fear, but I will be fearless! Lord I thank you that your love and your peace fills me up and overtakes me. Let your presence overflow me with your love and your peace and that all fear is gone in Jesus name.  Lord I give it all to you in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Scripture to declare when you began to feel fearful.

“The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”  -Psalm 118:6

“Be strong and courageous, do not be  fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” -Deuteronomy 31:6

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me; you staff and rod they comfort me”  -Psalm 23:4

“I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength” -Philippians 4:13

“Fear not,  for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”  – Isaiah41:10

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”  -1 Corinthians 15:58

“For God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind” -2 Timothy 1:7

“I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears”  -Psalm 34:4

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.”  -1 Corinthians 16:13

Being The Light

“You are the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden”                                                                                                                            -Mathew 5:14

Being the light! This is something that God has called you to be. He has designed you to be a leader to this world by radiating Jesus’ love and presence wherever you go!

When you decide to follow Jesus something becomes different about you, about the way you live your life, and the way other people should see you, because Jesus Christ is now inside of you. When you have Jesus inside of you, the light that He is shines and gushes out of you. When people see you they see Jesus. In Matthew 5:16 it says “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”. When people of this world see you they should see God. People will start to see something different in you and think “I want what they have.” Well, what they have is Jesus!

“For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 4:6

Don’t just stand in the background but shine for Jesus. Let people see Jesus! “Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky”  -Philippians 5:15 Just like stars shine in a sky among all of the darkness, so should we. We should shine among all off the darkness of this world and the sin that surrounds us. Even when some people know who Jesus is and decide to follow Him they still have trouble applying this verse to their life, Instead they just become a part of the darkness. Although being the light is difficult at times, it is valuable because you get to show people the love of Jesus just by being around each other. You do this by the way you act, talk and live your live. Live your life humble and obedient and unselfish, and joyful. Everything you do, do it for the glory of God.

“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness”    – Thessalonians 5:5

Prayer: Lord, I thank you that I am the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. Lord, show me how to live my life for you so that people will see you through me. Let me be a vessel for you every single day. Lord, I thank you that you are helping me grow and become more selfless, kind, and joyful towards every person. Lord, help me in every decision I make, that every single thing I do will be to glorify you. In Jesus name, Amen!
